Roofing & Construction in New Waverly, TX

Deep in the Sam Houston National Forest, halfway between Willis and Huntsville — where the land is big, the pines are tall, and roofing crews are scarce.

New Waverly is a small Walker County town on I-45 between Willis and Huntsville, deep in the Sam Houston National Forest. It's one of the most underserved areas on our route — and one of the fastest-growing for the exact kind of work we do. People are pushing north from Conroe and Willis for cheaper land with more space, and they're building on it: barndominiums, workshops, custom homes on wooded lots, and the fences and outdoor structures that make rural property functional.

The town itself is small — a few blocks around the FM 1375 intersection and the railroad tracks. But the surrounding area stretches miles in every direction through national forest land and private acreage. FM 1375 runs east toward Phelps and into some of the deepest pine woods in the region. FM 150 heads south toward Willis through rolling timber country.

Pine coverage here is as heavy as it gets in Southeast Texas. Every roof in the area lives under a canopy that drops limbs, packs valleys with needles, shades slopes so they never fully dry, and feeds algae growth year-round. The trees are the defining feature of the landscape, and they're the defining challenge for every roof.

Very few roofing contractors serve New Waverly. Most are based in Conroe or Huntsville and don't want the drive for a single job. We schedule this area regularly because the work is steady and the properties are worth doing right — the same crew that handles Conroe and Willis handles New Waverly without changing the estimate or the timeline.

  • New Waverly is one of the most underserved areas on our route — fewer roofing contractors means fewer options and longer waits for homeowners. We schedule regularly.
  • Pine coverage here is the heaviest on our service map. Every roof lives under a canopy that never lets it fully dry.
  • FM 1375 east toward Phelps is prime barndominium and workshop territory. Land prices are driving builders north from Montgomery County.
  • No HOAs in most of New Waverly and the surrounding area. Material choices are yours to make — we'll recommend based on the conditions, not a committee's palette.
  • Gravel driveways measured in tenths of a mile are standard. The concrete and steel trucks handle them fine.
  • Walker County permitting for unincorporated areas is straightforward. We handle it where required.
  • Annual roof inspections are more important under heavy pine canopy — needle accumulation and algae growth cause quiet damage that shows up as leaks years later.
  • Storm damage out here often goes undiscovered because the trees absorb the wind before it reaches the roof — but they also drop limbs onto it. Drone inspections find what you can't see from the ground.
